Taco Bell Is Selling Its First-Ever Gelato

The sweet and crunchy Cinnamon Twists and icing-injected Cinnabon Delights are some of Taco Bell's most unusual fast-food desserts. However, its latest dessert may be its most creative.

Starting Aug. 31, Taco Bell is trying a new Mtn Dew Baja Blast Gelato. Unfortunately, the new dessert is only available at Taco Bell's Irvine location at 4101 Campus Drive.

The turquoise Baja Blast from Taco Bell has tropical, citrusy, and fruity tastes. These legendary tastes are in the new gelato.

"This is the first time we are releasing a gelato and we are so excited to hear how fans enjoy it," added Taco Bell's global chief culinary innovation officer.

Taco Bell's Baja Blast has a loyal following, so making it gelato felt fitting. As summer ends, this is the ideal Taco Bell treat to finish the meal."

The Irvine eatery sells New Gelato 3.6-ounce to-go pots for $2.99 plus tax.

Taco Bell fans should also watch for more exciting news following the gelato test. Taco Bell claimed "another flavorful Mtn Dew Baja Blast innovation will be coming around the corner this fall."

The restaurant launched two new Flatbread Melts in Dayton, Ohio, and a Shredded Beef Grilled Cheese Burrito in Oklahoma City this month.

Also in June, Taco Bell tested their first Vegan Crunchwrap with plant-based seasoned beef, vegan blanco sauce, vegan nacho sauce, grated lettuce, and diced tomatoes.
